The Lufthansa Group is aiming to recruit over 2,000 new pilots by the end of 2025 to bolster its airlines' workforce in the face of fleet expansion. The recent "flybig" recruitment initiative highlights the many exciting facets of the pilot profession.

Under the slogan "Pilot - the job of your dreams, only better", this innovative campaign skilfully avoids the usual stereotypes. Indeed, tomorrow's pilots are much more than mere aviators: they also take on the role of managers for their crews and hosts on board, evolving in a fascinating and truly global working environment, says the press release.

"flybig" is aimed at both novices to aviation and pilots already trained and ready to join a Lufthansa Group airline. The group's flight crews come from a variety of backgrounds and career paths. Thanks to the variety of job models on offer, a pilot's position within the Lufthansa Group can be easily adapted to a multitude of situations and life circumstances. The Group places particular emphasis on young women who aspire to a career in the cockpit. However, anyone wishing to take the controls of the aircraft and enjoy the breathtaking views will need to demonstrate strong team spirit and interpersonal skills, as one of the campaign messages emphasizes.
