Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's leading airline, has announced the opening of a new route between Addis Ababa and Warsaw, via Athens. The new route will be operational from June 16, 2024, marking the addition of Warsaw as the 24th European destination served by the airline.

The service, operated under flight number ET 764, will connect Addis Ababa to Warsaw on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The return flight, ET 765, will leave Warsaw for Addis Ababa via Athens on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This expansion reflects Ethiopian Airlines' strategy of strengthening links between Africa and the rest of the world, while boosting trade and tourism.

Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the new route: "We are really delighted to further develop our presence in the European market with yet another new destination. This development is in line with our strategic intention to connect Africa to the world, while promoting trade and tourism on the continent. We have finalized our preparations to start offering a rewarding travel experience to our customers on this route."

With its modern fleet and extensive network, Ethiopian Airlines is a major player not only on the African market, but also in the global aviation industry. The airline offers seamless connections to over 135 destinations worldwide. On the occasion of its 78th anniversary, the addition of Warsaw to its network strengthens its position as a bridge between Africa and Europe, and now specifically with Poland.

With over 60 destinations across Africa, Ethiopian Airlines plays a crucial role in bringing Africa closer to the rest of the world, continually consolidating its network and offering convenient travel options for its customers.
