Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air is innovating with the launch of a new annual subscription, dubbed “All You Can Fly”, offering unlimited travel across its entire network. This package, a first for a European airline, is offered at an introductory price of 499 euros until August 15, 2024, before rising to 599 euros from August 16. Subscription holders will be able to start using it from September 25, 2024.

Wizz Air, which operates from several airports in France, including Beauvais, Orly, Lyon, and Bordeaux, has put 10,000 subscriptions on sale as part of this offer. However, this subscription comes with several conditions that may limit its appeal.

Strict conditions of use

Flights can only be booked three days before departure, making long-term planning impossible. In addition, seat availability will depend on the number of seats remaining on the flights, as the offer is primarily intended to fill last-minute empty seats.

A booking fee of 9.99 euros applies to each flight, and subscribers will not be able to choose their seat. The subscription only includes a small carry-on bag measuring 40x30x20 cm; any other baggage, whether additional cabin baggage or hold baggage, will be charged extra. The cost of these additional services may vary considerably depending on the period of travel and the weight of the baggage.

Exclusions and limitations

Please note that domestic flights within Italy are excluded from this offer. Moreover, tickets booked with this subscription cannot be modified or cancelled.

Despite these restrictions, the subscription could represent an interesting option for frequent travelers, flexible in their travel plans and ready to book at the last minute. With a network spanning 57 countries in Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East, Wizz Air offers a wide range of destinations for its subscribers.

However, before taking out this subscription, it is essential for potential customers to fully understand the limitations that come with it, in order to determine whether this investment corresponds to their travel needs.
