Volotea inaugurates its 10th base in France after winning the public service concession for the Rodez-Aveyron - Paris-Orly route
The airline Volotea has won exclusive rights to operate the route between Rodez-Aveyron airport and Paris-Orly airport, with flights starting on September 2, 2024. This victory enables Volotea to consolidate its presence in France by opening its 10th base in Rodez.
This new base in Rodez, supported by an Airbus A319, will strengthen connectivity between Rodez and Paris, with two daily flights from Monday to Friday, plus one on Sunday. By 2025, the airline plans to offer 178,000 seats on around 1,140 flights.
Volotea is thus continuing its expansion in France, in line with its objectives of economic and social development in the regions, by actively contributing to improving local connectivity. In addition to facilitating travel for business travellers and tourists, the new base will create more than 30 jobs at Rodez-Aveyron airport.
Carlos Muñoz, founder and CEO of Volotea, expressed his pride at this new milestone, underlining the company's commitment to supporting local development and offering essential services to the people of Aveyron and beyond.
